安裝 FireFox

步驟 1

由 Mozilla! 取得 Firefox 1.0

一但檔案下載完成後，雙擊 Firefox Setup 1.0.exe 安裝。預設值來說這個檔案將是被下載到 Windows 的桌面。

備註 - 不要直接安裝Firefox 1.0 覆蓋在其他的版本上 (要乾淨的安裝)。

Firefox 強烈建議你先移除任何之前的 FireFox 舊版本。安裝在任何的舊版本之上的話可能會發生無法預期的錯誤。

他強烈建議你備份你的書籤資料，移除舊版本去做一個全新的安裝。能在上面的導覽列中的升級連接中找到教學指南。.

建立 FirefoxIE

完成全部步驟。在步驟 2 和步驟 8 之後重新啟動 Firefox 。

步驟2

安裝擴充套件然後重新啟動 Firefox.

使用你的滑鼠左鍵按鈕去選擇 / 不選擇選取鈕

check all (全選)

重要 - 如果你要使用 Outlook 或是 Thunderbird 去開啟網頁中的 Email 連結，請不要選擇 Webmail Compose

點選 (安裝所選擇的項目)
如果上方出現詢問您是否允許安裝，請點選 [編輯選項] 然後 [允許] 點選確地之後再重新整理本頁，在點選本按鈕。

然後等待一下視窗彈出在點選 "馬上安裝"
請有耐心，你將會看到出現進度
如果你是使用較慢的網路連線，你可能必須單獨安裝各別的項目。

你需要馬上重新啟動 - 寫下這個網址：www.firefoxie.net
然後關閉並重新啟動你的瀏覽器。你必須這樣做來完成全部的步驟。

步驟 3

about:config 安全設定

在你瀏覽器的位址列簡單地輸入 about:config (看螢幕抓圖) 。
然後搜尋這些設定選項並且將它們改變為 TRUE
用你的滑鼠左鍵雙擊來去改變這些值
然後變更值之後再用滑鼠左鍵點選 "OK" 。

步驟 4

移除 (多餘的) 空間讓工具列更加精簡

點選這裡去選擇下方 (步驟 4) 視窗中的代碼。
使用 Ctrl+C 去將資料複製到剪貼簿
從 Firefox 選單，選擇 "工具" 然後選擇"Edit User Files" ( ChromEdit 的功能)
選擇 userChrome.css 這個頁面標籤
使用滑鼠點選對話盒
使用 Ctrl+V to 將代碼貼近userChrome.css 對話盒中然後按 save (儲存) 按鈕。

步驟 5

顯示使用者友善的錯誤頁

預設的情況，如果連現錯誤 Firefox 會顯示煩人的錯誤視窗，取代為安靜的顯示錯誤資訊在瀏覽器視窗中像是 Internet Explorer 的情形。去關閉錯誤訊息並且使用頁面取代，增加下面的代碼到你的 User.js 檔案。

點選這裡去選擇下方 (步驟 5) 視窗中的代碼。.

步驟 6

如何在 Mozilla/Firefox 中開啟複製 / 貼上

按照下面做是一個簡單的方法：

1. 用 CTRL+R 開啟一個新分頁，然後瀏覽 'about:config'.
2. 在主畫面區域滑鼠右鍵，選擇 New->String.
3. 輸入 'capability.policy.policynames'
4. 輸入 'allowclipboard'

重複上面的步驟 2, 3 和 4 並使用下面成對的數值：

capability.policy.allowclipboard.sites  - http://www.firefoxie.net
capability.policy.allowclipboard.Clipboard.cutcopy  -  allAccess
capability.policy.allowclipboard.Clipboard.paste  - allAccess

完成，離開瀏覽器。

'about:config' 視窗將不會更新顯示你所附加的部份，但是你的 pref.js 檔案將會在你離開瀏覽器時被更新。你能確認這些改變經由瀏覽你的個人屬性資料夾並且開啟 prefs.js 檔案。

步驟 7

步驟 8 (選擇性)

改變 Firefox 的預設視窗圖示

使用 Internet Explorer 圖示 取代原先 Firefox 的圖示，你能使用任何你想用的圖示來變更 Firefox 預設的視窗圖示，由以下這些步驟：

到你安裝好 Firefox 的資料夾例如 C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\
然後到 chrome.子目錄
建立一個名稱為icons 的子目錄
然後在到那個資料夾中並且建立再一個資料夾名命為default

完整的資料夾路徑將會像是這樣...

C:\Program Files\MozillaFirefox\chrome\icons\default\

選擇你要使用的圖示
(在 Windows 中使用 .ico 檔案，在 Linux 則是使用.xpm 檔案)
然後將它放在資料夾中並命名為 main-window.ico (Windows)
或是叫 main-window.xpm (Linux)

在主視窗之外的附加方面，你也能變更書籤管理員和 JavaScript Console 的圖示

圖示名稱分別為bookmark-window.[ext] 和 jsconsoleWindow.[ext]。

在完成之後，重新啟動 Firefox 和你將會看到你選擇的圖示出現在瀏覽器的標題列上。

改變 Firefox 的預設標題列文字

Remember how you can change the product name that appears in the Firefox browser to anything you want?

安裝 Firesomething http://www.cosmicat.com/extensions/firesomething/firesomething.xpi 擴充套件，和重新啟動你的瀏覽器。

到工具 -> 擴充套件 和雙擊清單中的 Firesomething 進入。一個選項視窗會彈出來。

現在，使用刪除鍵去刪除全部的東西。
(按住 Shift 並且從開始到結尾來選擇多個項目)

輸入FirefoxIE 在 Vendors 文字對話盒並且點選 Add.
保持 Prefixes 欄位空白離開
輸入 The Internet Is Fun Again 在 Names 文字對話盒並且點選 Add.

或是你能...

輸入 Microsoft 在 Vendors 文字對話盒並且點選 Add.
保持 Prefixes 欄位空白離開
輸入 Internet Explorer 在 Names 文字對話盒並且點選 Add.

現在點選 OK，然後 OK 再一次關閉對話盒

在它們載入時顯示圖片 (IE 風格)

This is a psychological thing more than anything else. By default, Firefox uses placeholder images by leaving image locations blank or with the white box and x combo. Changing this value will result in the load as it goes approach as with IE
